What Kemsley does
Kemsley Company is organized as a remarketer — and that word carries a precise operating meaning. We do not wait for a buyer to show up before we commit to a seller. We take a position: we evaluate the equipment, agree on a number, and move it into our inventory so the seller can close their chapter immediately. That discipline is what separates a working remarketer from a listing service, and it is the foundation every Kemsley transaction is built on. The process begins with a thorough valuation. Whether the situation calls for a fair market figure, an orderly liquidation value, or a forced sale determination, Kemsley documents the number in writing before any other decision is made. Those appraisals cover every category we handle — thermoform lines and sheet equipment, Swiss turning centers, wire and sinker EDM cells, injection molding presses, die cast machinery, CNC machining centers, precision grinding systems, rotational mold and rotomold equipment, automation and auxiliary systems, tool and die assets, metal stamping presses and coil feed lines, blow mold machinery, rubber and silicone processing lines, mold inventories and proprietary product lines, extruders and extrusion systems, and structural fabrication equipment. Nothing on a production floor falls outside our scope. Once the valuation is established, the path forward follows from it. Kemsley buys equipment outright when a seller needs a clean, certain exit — capital committed, terms straightforward, transaction closed without waiting on a third party to materialize. When a consignment arrangement fits the asset profile or the seller's timeline better, we structure and manage that program directly, placing machinery with vetted buyers across our North American reach and into our global buyer network. Auctions and managed liquidations are part of the toolkit as well — the right format for plant closures, bankruptcy proceedings, and estate situations where a defined endpoint serves every stakeholder. On the acquisition side, we source specific equipment on behalf of manufacturers who need the right machine at the right number, not whatever happens to be available. When the engagement extends beyond individual assets, Kemsley handles complete business and turnkey facility transactions. We manage the contracts, and real estate and M&E transfer together as one coordinated deal. That single-point accountability matters enormously when multiple asset classes and ownership interests need to move in the same direction at the same time.
